Essentials of Anatomy & Physiology, Martini and Bartholomew, 5th Ed., 2010, Pearson/Benjamin Cummings. ISBN: 0321576535

Recommended:
(These are NOT required. Some students like additional books and these come highly recommended.)

A Visual Analogy Guide to Human Anatomy & Physiology
, Krieger, 2009, Morton Publishing Co. ISBN: 0895828014
This is a good ancillary paperback that provides short and to-the-point descriptions of physiological concepts.

Anatomy & Physiology Coloring Workbook - A Complete Study Guide, Marieb, 10th Ed., 2011, Pearson/Benjamin Cummings.
ISBN: 0321743059.  I would recommend an older edition. The illustrations are not cluttered and the book is easy to follow.

Dictionary of Word Roots and Combining Forms, Borror, 1960, Mayfield Publishing Co.
This book was originally published in 1960. It has NOT changed throughout the years. It is a small paperback and a keeper.
